Believe it or not, just about 90% of the students I encounter are dealing with a math confidence struggle and not so much a content knowledge struggle. "He/she understands it in class and on the homework but then freezes up on the test" is a line I hear just about everyday when a new parent calls me. Unfortunately, those grueling tests can be a lead weight when things are not going well and then starts the cycle of decreased confidence and increases the pressure on the next test. I use strategies I have learned over the years that can put an end to this once and for all. Surprisingly, most student I began tutoring were not totally sure on how to study for math tests. This in itself can cause anxiety before a test. Homework is your study guide and must be current while quizzes and review packets are gold. Get two copies of that review packet the teacher distributes! You must be able to do it with confidence before the big test.

I was born and raised in the Eagleville area of Pennsylvania. I am a 2001 graduate of the former Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic High School in Norristown, PA where I played varsity baseball. I then fulfilled a childhood dream of attending and graduating from Villanova University in 2006. Two years into my office job at a Pharmaceutical company left me wanting a greater challenge in life (and something more fun) so in January of 2009 I enrolled in the Secondary Education Mathematics program at West Chester University. In 2010 I earned my teaching certification and was inducted into the Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society. In 2012 I received my Master's in Secondary Education.

My teaching experience has included Radnor Middle School, Radnor High School, Science and Discovery High School, and Arcola Middle School. All the while, I enjoyed tutoring middle school and high school students in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and SAT Math Prep, ACT Math Prep, GRE, and GED. In my free time I enjoy exercising, traveling, playing sports, and racing my classic Ford Mustangs in NHRA Stock and Super Stock eliminators.
